The Function of Empathy in Preventive Behavior

Empathy serves as an important driver of prosocial beliefs among adolescents, which motivates them to engage in preventive health behavior during COVID-19. Efforts aiming at promoting adolescents' preventive health behavior should consider the motivating role of empathy, with attention to potential negative consequences of empathic concern.

Predictors of Homelessness and Nutrient Insecurity

TThis written report identifies adolescent risk factors for homelessness and food insecurity during emerging machismo. Adverse childhood experiences and weaker bookish orientation predicted both outcomes, with other predictors identified that were unique to each consequence. Results place actionable intervention targets across multiple levels to mitigate the take chances of economical instability.

The Wellness and Health Implications of Delayed Driving Licensure

Although teen licensure is viewed equally a major developmental milestone, nearly 70% of eligible adolescents delayed licensure at least 1 year. Those without licensure delay reported better health, education, and employment in emerging adulthood. Hereafter study should assess delayed commuter licensure contextual facets and provide details of measured early adulthood success.

The Journal of Adolescent Wellness is a multidisciplinary scientific Journal dedicated to improving the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. The Journal publishes new inquiry findings in the field of Adolescent and Immature Developed Health and Medicine ranging from the basic biological and behavioral sciences to public wellness and policy. We seek original manuscripts, brief reports, review articles, clinical case reports, letters to the editor, and commentaries from our colleagues in Anthropology, Education, Ideals, Global Wellness, Wellness Services Research, Law, Medicine, Mental and Behavorial Health, Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, Public Health and Policy, Social Piece of work, Sociology, Youth Development, and other disciplines that work with or are committed to improving the health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. In addition we seek poetry, personal narratives, images, and other creative works from young people, family and customs members, and health professionals that deepen our insights into the lived experiences of adolescents and young adults in a way that can augment scientific peer-reviewed research.

The Journal is the official publication of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM), a multidisciplinary organization committed to improving the health and well-existence of adolescents and immature adults. I of the Order'southward principal goals is the development, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific and scholarly knowledge unique to the wellness needs of young people. To meet this goal, the Society established The Journal of Adolescent Health in 1980.

Founded in 1968, the Lodge for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) is a multidisciplinary organisation committed to improving the physical and psychosocial health and well-being of all adolescents through advancement, clinical care, health promotion, health service delivery, professional evolution and inquiry.

Adolescence is a time of dramatic changes in a young person's life — a challenging stage of human evolution during which pre-teens, teenagers and immature adults feel physical, intellectual, emotional and social maturation. These remarkable changes create a special need for adolescent-focused health research and for sensitive, appropriate wellness care.

Since the 1950s, a group of healthcare professionals has taken on the challenge of learning more about boyish health and improving the delivery of wellness services for adolescents past developing and promoting the field now known as  Adolescent Medicine and Health.

Today, SAHM is a multidisciplinary society with an agile international membership devoted to advancing the wellness and well-being of adolescents.
